“Who am I?”
Happy Saturday !
During my personal devotional time this morning in the book of Exodus, Exodus 3:11–12 stood out to me. When Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” God did not focus on Moses’ qualifications, background, or past. Instead, His response was simple yet powerful: “I will be with you.”
This was a gentle reminder that God’s purposes are not dependent on who we are, where we come from, or what we think disqualifies us. Our fears, weaknesses, and past mistakes do not hinder God’s will. What truly matters is His presence. God can accomplish His will with us or without us, but He invites us to participate by trusting Him and walking in obedience.
God is not looking for ability or perfection, He is looking for availability and surrender. It is His presence on the journey to destiny that makes the difference.
Even without fear or a sinful past, we are still not sufficient on our own to fulfill God’s purposes. Only by His presence, mercy and grace can His plans be accomplished.
May this encourage us to stop asking “Who am I?” and start resting in the truth that God is with me.
Praying for you all have a great weekend!
