Use What God Gave You
Sometimes we underestimate what God has placed inside of us.
We compare our gifts to others. We question whether we’re talented enough, skilled enough, or qualified enough. We shrink back, thinking what we have isn’t significant. But God doesn’t create anything without purpose. Every gift, every talent, every passion, and every idea He placed in you was intentional. You weren’t just saved to sit still and look pretty, but you were called to serve. You were created to reflect Him. Our faith was never meant to stay hidden; it was meant to move, to love, and to act.
The Word reminds us, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” — 1 John 3:18
We are called to be God’s hands and feet, His call to action, reflecting His grace and abounding love to a world in need.
Even when I doubt myself and what I’m capable of, God has still called me to be a servant in His Kingdom. And if He has called me, He has also equipped me.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace” — 1 Peter 4:10
My gifts are not for me alone. They are meant for the community to be seen, shared, and multiplied, and for God to receive all the glory.
What good are my gifts if only I know about them? How can I use my skills, talents, and creativity to reflect Christ more clearly?
I’m not saying everyone needs to start a podcast or stand on a big platform. But maybe your calling is to engage more in a Christ-centered community. Maybe it’s starting that small business God placed on your heart. Maybe it’s creating art, writing, mentoring, serving, or simply being intentional about pouring into one person at a time.
So what’s stopping you?
Faith isn’t just believing; it’s responding.
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” — James 2:17
Let’s move. Let’s serve. Let’s allow our gifts to become reflections of Christ’s love in action.
