Waiting Well
Waiting can be hard. Most of us prefer quick answers, immediate results, and clear direction—but waiting is a part of life. Seeds take time to grow. Seasons change gradually. Babies mature into adults. Trees stand for years before they offer shade.
Waiting requires patience, courage, and trust.
Psalm 27:14 says:
“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
David understood what it meant to wait—for God’s timing, for deliverance, and for promises to unfold. But waiting on God was never meant to be passive.
We can wait well by staying connected to Him through prayer, worship, Scripture, gratitude, and serving others. Just because a door hasn’t opened yet doesn’t mean God isn’t moving.
Throughout Scripture, we see people who remained faithful while they waited:
• Noah built the ark for decades before the rain came.
• Ruth faithfully worked the fields while trusting God to provide.
• Joseph stayed faithful in prison before stepping into purpose.
• John continued to trust God even while exiled on Patmos.
Even in seasons that feel uncertain or delayed, God is still working behind the scenes.
So whatever you’re waiting for today—an answer, healing, direction, restoration, or breakthrough—trust that your waiting is not wasted. When we rely on the Lord, we can become people who wait well.
